Tlogowaru and Its Hidden Treasure

Tlogowaru. I believe there's not a lot of Malang citizens who truly knew and know where is it. Understandably, Tlogowaru is a small and remote village located on the outskirts of Malang city. Precisely, it is part of Kedungkandang subdistrict. But who would have thought that beyond its name and location there is something so precious and not known by many people. Thus, I'm going to tell and share what I found as the hidden treasure in Tlogowaru.

Guys, I'm not going to describe a thing that I met in the wild nature or something that established accidentaly. The object taken by me is purposely established. This object is totally majestic, pretentious, and not presumed to be on the ground of Tlogowaru. Moreover, it is around us, the students of Senior High School 10 Malang. Can you guess what I mean? Well, I'll give you the snapshot of this object. So, check it out!

Well, that's our lighthouse! I choose this object not because I'm too lazy to find out new place or thing outside. I've done the research to find the hidden treasure but i found nothing attractive enough to be described. Hehe. Through this post, I'll share what's in it.

Our lighthouse is located in the area of Campus II Senior High School 10 Malang,Tlogowaru. I claim that it is hidden because we can't see and recognize this enormous building from the roadway. It might be because of the blocking of the sugar cane field owned by the local citizens of Tlogowaru. This lighthouse was established in 2011 when our school was literally called as Public SHS 10 Malang - Sampoerna Academy. This project was initiated by Putera Sampoerna Foundation.

I call it as a treasure because we can found hundreds trophies of our achievements inside this building. Our struggle was framed in all those achievements. We, the students of Sampoerna/Leadership Academy, didn't get the scholarship and those facilities easily but we had to win the struggle with thousands of applicants from all over districts of East Java. Our memories from the beginning of applying until now were framed in lighthouse.

What's more, this lighthouse is the one and only in Malang. Lighthouse which is generally located in the middle of ocean now can be found in the outskirt of Malang city, precisely in Tlogowaru. That's what make our school different than the other schools! In the night, the light brightens up the night sky and the area in its surroundings. It's such a brightest light in the area of Senior High School 10 Malang which makes our spirit keeps on fire to achieve the best.

They Describe Me

Allah is a super duper outstanding figure! Supernatural and invisible, but acts as The Creator of the world within the creatures. Not only creating, he also differentiates his every single creature, including me. Though there have been trillions of people all over the world since the first age till this modern era, Allah never creates his creature with identical characteristic either physically or mentally. That shows how wonderful our God is! Even I’m not capable to mention one thing or one creature which can represent and describe myself fully.

Fortunately, this task never asks me to find and choose a single thing that really describes me, yet it allows me to think about three things to interpret and describes myself. Actually, I found this so really damn hard, even if I try to think out of the box. I had to think and analyze the characteristics of those things, then determine what their characteristics which identical with me are, and then find the philosophic values which match with my personality. Fiuh.. I have to realize that I need such a very long time to finish this post, even it takes a month full.

The first thing that on my mind is fireworks! They seem simple but malignant. Don’t ever ignite me or you’ll see my explosion. Don’t bother me or I’ll interrupt your breathing. I do really hate all those kinds of disturbance, interruption, annoyance, or whatever you may say.. when I was in my comfort zone. For instance, sleep. If there’s somebody who call me or loudly talk with somebody else when I was sleeping or studying, there will be no any forgiveness for them. I will absolutely get mad at everyone because I’m such an insomniac and I’m having difficulties to be focused in a noisy place.

 Fireworks seem to be unimportant and useless, yet don’t easily judge. At the first sight, you may find me such a passive, unattractive, and boring person. But it won’t last for a long time, if we get intimated, I may turn into somebody you won’t ever imagined. Yap, I may be hyperactive even closer to idiot with you. Just assume me as fireworks which have functions to amuse everyone and jazz up the spirit. Moreover, fireworks are generally found everywhere and packed in simple packages. Physically, they are same with me. I seem simple and ordinary. But deep inside, I’m totally different because I have skills, potency, and capability which are able to amaze you all.

 I do really want to be like fireworks which are able to light up the night sky by their colorful and amazing lights. I start with bringing out my ideas and adopting a motto said “aspire to inspire until you’re expired”. Absolutely, I want to inspire everyone through my life story. Though I’m such a broken home-child, I’m so lucky because I still can reach bunches of achievement and I don’t get too much depressed like the other broken home – children outside. 

Besides of fireworks, a fan also has some identical characteristics with me. Fan as air conditioner and heat reliever gives the comfort to everyone who uses it. I analogize myself as a fan which takes a role as chaos reliever because I hate all those kinds of quarrel and hostility. Trauma may also take role in this characteristic. Thus, I uphold sportsmanship and peace.

 

Unlike the AC, fan is made up of simpler materials without Freon, and its installation isn't difficult and complicated. Just like me who are simple. The negative impacts caused by far are far less than the AC though both perform the same function. It could even be said that fan produces more profits, because it requires less power, easy and quick installation. Moreover, it's so affordable so that it can be used by everyone. I was so, I am a flexible, friendly, and make friends with everybody regardless of their social status.

The fan which is made up of a hard and solid material describes me as a stubborn and unshakeable person. If I already have a view on a matter, it's difficult for me to change it. I am a person who is determined to one thing and did my best to achieve it.

However, fan isn't always good. Sometimes it cause other people annoyed because it may mess their hair up when they approached it. I'm not always good, I was often annoying because of my annoyance and naughtiness to the people around me. Oh yeah, once again .. Don't bother me by putting your finger on the sidelines of my case or you lose the finger. Don't bother me, don't disturb me, and don't think and takeover my business.

The third thing is perfume. Its fragrance spreads throughout the room and gives the impression of a soothing aroma. I really want to uphold the name of my parents, my school, and country by making them proud of my record, such a bottle of perfume that's sprayed all over the room. Even my mother ever said that I was the reason why she survives being a single parent. She said, “You're the only one who is able to make me proud, Dear”. Well, making others happy and amazed are the things I want in life.

  Like a perfume that spreads the sense of smell and greets everyone in a room, I am a friendly and gracious person. A bottle of perfume may be carried to everywhere because of its flexibility and practicality. I'm so so, I'm an easy going and flexible person. I was able to adapt to the new environment and new people. I am easy to get along with everyone and not complicated.

 

Well, I've already mentioned and explained those the three objects to interpret myself. May be quite weird and absurd to you, but that's me.
